The Program Improvement Process

The New Look Program Improvement Process guides educational entities to better programmatic and instructional offerings for Perkins special populations learners.  This guidance emphasizes examination of local data, research into root causes and effective strategies, measureable goal-setting, and deliberate feedback to impact local decision-making.

The Steps:

Step 1:  Partner/Collaborate
Step 2: Self-Study & Research
Step 3: Select Goals
Step 4: Perform Activities
Step 5: Review and Evaluate
Step 6: Disseminate

A Circular Process, Because Program Improvement is Never Finished

Each step in the program improvement process is important for optimal results. Appropriately, each step is supported by resources, professional development, and technical assistance from ICSPS. While there may be a pertinent place to start the program improvement cycle, program improvement efforts should never have a stopping point. Regular evaluation of the efforts made to assist every learner to succeed will help to identify areas for improvement and evaluate the effectiveness of selected strategies.
