Sauk Valley Community College will increase the number of male nursing students enrolled by 5% over the next two years. Sauk Valley Community College will analyze and evaluate the high school schedule of students that attend our "Men in Nursing" day to document an increase of 10% in the taking of science classes that will prepare the students for the nursing curriculum at Sauk Valley Community College. Sauk Valley Community College will have 2 male students that attended the "Men in Nursing" day enroll in the Nursing program at the college within the next three years.

To increase students enrolling in non-traditional career courses by 10% within three years. To retain students that enroll in nontraditional career programs at the high school level by 50% within a three year period. To monitor and track students enrolled in nontraditional career programs that will be provided with supportive services to see if those interventions assist in retaining the students in identified programs. The study will follow them for the last two years at high school or career center and the first year to see if they transition to the community college.

To increase the awareness of careers available for young women in the local area through the Aviation Flight Program, to encourage all area young people to believe in their abilities enough to consider a career as a pilot, to develop stronger relationships between the College of Applied Science and Arts and local school systems, and to give two young women hands-on experience with information that is taught in the Aviation Flight Program.
