Session Title: Peoria Promise

Description: Peoria Promise is an opportunity for qualifying City of Peoria graduates to receive a scholarship covering full tuition and books toward a degree or certificate at Illinois Central College. It is anticipated that this initiative will increase the college awareness and readiness of a large population of under- served students.

Session Title: Accountability Systems for Perkins IV

Description: Over the last year, ongoing national debate has taken place regarding how best to proceed with changes to the Perkins Performance Measurement System. Staff from ICCB and ISBE have been gathering input from the field that will help standardize data collection and strengthen data quality as the state moves forward implementing these changes. This session will provide information on Illinois’ likely approaches for operationalizing changes to indicator definitions and data collection requirements under Perkins IV.

Session Title: Curriculum Revitalization Initiative (CRI) for CTE

Description: ISBE is funding a partnership to develop and disseminate revitalized curriculum lesson plans in business education, industrial education, health science technology, and family & consumer science. This session will describe how CTE Tech Prep and other college instructors can access and use the 200+ lessons now available on-line.
